The standard Scrum Stand-up meeting, AKA 'The Daily Scrum', has each participant answering 3 questions:
- What have you got done since the last stand-up?
- What do you expect to get done by the next stand-up?
- What impediments are in your way?
I usually included a fourth question:
- What news do you have to share that may interest and/or impact the team?
My friend Siraj also adds a fourth question, but he is more creative than I, and chooses a different question each day. Here are some of the questions on his list. I recommend reading his short post to see the rest.
- What did you learn yesterday?
- What surprised you yesterday?
- Do you think our "Slate is Clean"?
- How has your life changed today?
Want to learn more about Scrum? Agile Learning Labs is teaming up with one of the founders of Scrum to put on the best darn Certified ScrumMaster workshop ever.
- Two instructors
- Two hours of one-on-one follow-on coaching
- A copy of my upcoming book
- A truly fun, and enriching, way to spend a weekend
Cheers,
I like this idea, it sounds like it would help promote a learning culture and a nice team environment!
